How does lip augmentation with hyaluronic acid work:
The treatment is made with hyaluronic acid preparation of the right plasticity. The preparation may contain lidocaine - a local anaesthetic, and sometimes also glycerin or glycerol, for extra moisturising effect. Depending on the expected effect, the preparation is injected into the lips - for augmentation, into the contour - for modelling effect, or into the corners - for lifting effect. After application, the physician massages the lips. Immediately after the treatment, the area may be swollen and small bruises may develop, and the area may be sensitive for 2-3 days. When swelling subsides, the final effect becomes visible, and it lasts for about 6 months.
