Palatoplasty and uvuloplasty

Description of the treatment
- The Derm-Al Centre offers snoring treatment by means of CO2 laser or radiosurgical palatoplasty and uvuloplasty.
  
  One of the causes of snoring is the slackness of palate muscles that sink during sleep, obstructing the throat and vibrating when breathing. It is possible to shorten and stiffen the fibres of palatal muscles by means of a special radiosurgical electrode or laser beam. For a better effect, it is also a good idea to shorten the uvula. Using one of the above methods reduces the risk of blooding associated with traditional surgery. The tissue is instantly coagulated, so there is no need for stitches. Another advantage of these two methods is accelerated healing.
