Platelet rich plasma treatment to improve skin condition

The treatment is also called the “vampire lift”. It involves injecting platelet rich plasma obtained from the patient’s own blood to the skin. The plasma contains precious stem cells and growth factors and, it being an autologous substance, there is no risk of intolerance or allergy. One of the function of blood platelets in our body is to release factors that stimulate tissue regeneration processes and accelerate wound and bone healing. Thus, injection of own blood concentrate directly into the skin is a strong reconstructing impulse. The growth factors stimulate the skin cells - fibroblasts to divide. The stimulated fibroblasts generate new collagen and elastin. Moreover, blood platelets induce inflow of stem cells to the area of their injection, which also stimulates skin regeneration processes. This way, the skin recovers its youthful vitality and becomes more elastic, smoothers and visibly younger.
How does the treatment work:
At the Derm-Al Beauty, the treatment is performed by a physician using specialist test tubes (medical test tubes with the 2B MDD certificate). First, the patient’s blood is taken: about 10 ml from the basilic vein, using sterile vacuum blood collection method. Next, in the patient’s presence, the tube with blood and reagent is placed in a lab centrifuge. After 5 minutes of spinning, appr. 4-6 ml of platelet rich plasma is separated, which is then injected into the skin. Plasma may be injected using the mesotherapy method, i.e. close injections of small doses of plasma in a given area, or in a line, along wrinkles. The treatment may be done on the face, neck, décolleté, hands or other areas that require regeneration. The treatment is also done on the scalp, in the case of hair loss or weak hair. The effects are visible after a series of 3-4 treatments.
