Ingrown toenail treatment with the Arkada’s method
- Description of the treatment
-
Derm-Al Podiatry offers ingrown toenail treatment not only with braces but also with the Arkada’s cube, which is fast and guarantees an aesthetic result.
The method is named after its inventor, Adrian Arkada, the Pole who invented and patented the Arkada’s cube method. The cube is designed with a set of unique appliances. One treatment with the cube is enough to bring immediate relief. If you come to us with a painful ingrown toenail, you will leave our clinic cured. An additional advantage of the method is the aesthetic effect. Immediately after the treatment, the nail plate looks healthy and natural.
How does the treatment work:
No previous consultations are required. You do not have to make an appointment in advance. However, if you have very tough toenails, the podiatrist will prescribe softening serum to be applied for a couple of days before the treatment. The treatment is painless.
The treatment is performed by podiatry specialist using the Arkada’s cube. The cube and appliances are either sterile or disposable. The podiatrist examines and interviews the patient. The patient’s condition is recorded in his or her podiatric file. Before the treatment, the nail is disinfected, the plate is polished and degreased with a special preparation. Then, acrylic resin is applied and the cube is placed on the toe. The appliances put the twisted toenail plate back in shape. The resin keeps the toenail growing in the right direction. The procedure yields an immediate comfortable feeling. The last stage is to model acrylic resin to make it look like a natural nail. The patient is given Arkada collagen serum to use as recommended by the podiatrist and is also instructed on toenail care after the procedure.
